eLAB Encapsulation
Two stand alone eLABs (SIP and
VoIP (RTP/RTCP/DNS)) are encapsulated within a hybrid/master
eLAB module. This module is encapsulated within the SIP/VoIP
Illustrated hybrid/master course. One end to end
SIP/VoIP Call scenario exercise is used to generate the call
logs for both eLABs.

90 pages module with interactive LAB exercises and solutions
(based on X-Lite soft phone) accompanied by two Ethereal ( aka Wireshark) capture files with live SIP registration & SIP call
setup scenarios and RTP/RTCP traffic.
Intended audience
SIP/VoIP developers

Outline
90 pages of two stand alone labs (SIP, VoIP) with
exercises and analysis. SIP/SDP/RTP/RTCP/DNS are analyzed in depth. Day
to day issues such as NAT traversal and early media are carefully
examined. All RTP/RTCP fields are explained and cross referenced with
each other. Topics such as packetization interval, port assignment, the
use of RTCP for unicast sessions are covered in depth and are learned by
example. As a by-product the Ethereal
(Wireshark) analyzer tool is introduced, and
the student learns how to work with it.
